What Is the Excellence Scholarship?
The Excellence Scholarship is a merit-based award granted to students who demonstrate:
Outstanding academic performance
Leadership potential
Remarkable talent or skill
This scholarship reflects HLC’s commitment to academic excellence and social responsibility by supporting learners who are both gifted and financially constrained.
What Does the Scholarship Cover?
The scholarship covers tuition fees only, giving learners access to quality education at HLC.
However, it does not cover:
Application fee
Exam fees
School levies
Uniforms
Laptops or tablets
Who Can Apply?
We are accepting applications from the following forms:
Form 1: Must have Grade 7 results with 10 units or less
Form 2 & 3: Must submit a recent school report showing strong academic performance
Form 5: Must have Form 4 results with A or B grades
In addition, applicants must:
Be a double orphan (lost both parents)
Have a guardian who can provide for items not covered by the scholarship
Guardian must commit to saving exam fees through the HLC Exam Fee Bank immediately after award confirmation
How to Apply
Collect the application form from the Higher Learning Centre Academic Office
Pay a non-refundable processing fee of $30 upon collection of the form
Fill in all sections accurately
Submit the form with:
Certified Grade 7 results / Term report / Form 4 results (depending on level)
Copy of birth certificate
Guardian’s identification
Any supporting documents that highlight extracurriculars or leadership roles
Deadline for Applications
15 October 2025
